Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how DJM Software LLC, a Michigan limited liability company doing business as SimplyMow ("we", "us"), collects, uses, and shares information when you use our service (the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, business name, and a password (managed by our authentication provider Clerk).

Customer data you upload. The Service stores the data you enter or import about your own customers — names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, properties, service history, photos, invoices, and notes. You are the controller of that data; we process it on your behalf.

Payment information. Card numbers are never stored on our servers. Stripe processes and tokenizes all payment credentials. We retain non-sensitive metadata such as the last four digits, brand, and Stripe identifiers needed to charge or refund.

Usage and device data. We collect technical information (IP address, browser, device type, log timestamps) to operate and secure the Service. The mobile app may request access to camera, photo library, and location to capture job photos and provide navigation; these permissions are optional and can be revoked in your device settings.

2. How We Use Information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • Authenticate you and protect your account.
  • Process payments and produce invoices for your customers.
  • Send transactional emails (invoices, receipts, account notices).
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

3. Service Providers (Sub-processors)

We share information with vendors who help us operate the Service. Each is bound by data-protection terms appropriate to its role.

  • Clerk — authentication and identity management.
  • Supabase — database and file storage hosting (US region).
  • Stripe — payment processing, payouts, and dispute handling.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • Mapbox — geocoding and map tiles.
  • Vercel — application hosting and edge network.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as described in this policy, with your consent, or when required by law (e.g., subpoena, court order, government request).

5. Data Retention

We retain your data while your account is active and for a reasonable period after closure to comply with tax, accounting, and legal-hold obligations. You may request earlier deletion subject to those obligations.

6. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted connections (TLS), encryption at rest for the database, scoped credentials, and access logging. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email privacy@simplymow.com. If you are an end customer of one of our users (a SimplyMow business), please contact that business first — they control their own customer records.

8. United States Only

The Service is offered to and intended for use by businesses located in the United States. The Service and all data are hosted in the United States. We do not market the Service to, or knowingly accept users from, other jurisdictions.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

10. Changes to This Policy

We will update the effective date above when we change this policy. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice.
